Well done — notice how you feel right now.

What is heart coherence?

Your heart doesn't beat like a metronome: the interval between two beats is constantly changing, and this variability (HRV) is a great indicator of your stress levels. When you're tense, the rhythm stiffens. Heart coherence means breathing at a precise frequency — 6 breaths per minute — that brings your HRV back into a smooth, deep rhythm.

In practice, this slow breathing stimulates the vagus nerve and shifts your nervous system into parasympathetic mode: your heart rate slows down, your muscles relax, and cortisol drops. It's a physiological off-switch for stress — not just relaxation 'in your head'.

The 365 method, in three numbers

The tool above is set to a 5s/5s rhythm. Inhale through your nose as the circle expands, exhale gently (nose or mouth, whatever feels natural) as it shrinks. If 5 seconds feels too long at first, start with 4s/6s — consistency matters, not perfection.

When should you use it?

How long until you feel the effects?

Relief is immediate: after 5 minutes, most people feel the tension release. For lasting benefits on background stress, sleep, or blood pressure, count on 2 to 4 weeks of daily practice — just like a muscle, it takes training. Consistency beats duration: 3×5 minutes a day is much better than one long occasional session.
